Disruptive Change. What is YOUR new normal?
We have seen countless blogs, posts, webinars, and free offers for days now about how to react to this crisis hitting on the personal, professional, physical, mental and spiritual impacts of this health crisis. I have learned so much about myself and have vowed to make changes in my life not only today, but for the future as well. Despite all we hear on the news, there are numerous silver linings to this global crisis. They may be different for everyone to feel immediately, but I promise you, they will be there for us all to enjoy very soon!
We work with many clients who are doing the best job they can while making the hardest decisions. My heart breaks for them all; I personally know how difficult this can be. I know that I could not be more proud of how my leadership team and our employees have navigated these uncharted waters.
However, now we must turn our energy and our minds to the impacts we will feel when we do go back to our respective offices, when we see people besides our quarantined “tribe,” when we actually put on make up and clothes beyond our “loungewear” (aka pajamas). We will have to put just as much energy, if not more, on how we RE-board (not On-Board) our employees back to a new normal.
This is a true opportunity to reset and change the things that have become barriers to our success, productivity, culture, client engagements and ability to retain our top talent. This is a time to be questioning the status-quo, the processes we do because “that’s the way we have always done it,” the systems that have just made us compliant, the leaders who need help in leading change and inspiring a new workforce. Never has this question been more meaningful: “Do we have the right people in the right jobs to be the best we can be?”. This is a time of disruptive change, which will be going on for a long time! Are you and your organization ready to adapt?
We would encourage you to ask yourself the following:
What have you learned that will inspire you to change in the new normal?
How will you define your new normal related to people, process, client engagement, profitability, products and services, and technology?
Do you have the right people to help you navigate and improve EVERYTHING that you do?
Is your leadership prepared to lead change?
How will your engagement with your customers change and are your associates prepared to execute new strategies?
Are you ready to navigate in a much more virtual and digital world?
Will your best talent come back to your organization, and if so, how will you retain them? What if they want to continue to work virtually?
Are there processes or systems that need to be changed, updated in order for us to meet the new needs of our clients, our employees and our bottom line?
Finally, what does Day 1 to your new normal look like? How will you “Re-Board” your talent?
How will you brand and communicate what your new normal is and help them understand what success looks like?
Are you ready to navigate and lead others through change like we have never seen before both individually and organizationally?
I hope you see the HUGE opportunity this is for you. At Change 4 Growth, we have been preparing for this moment. This is why we exist, to help you achieve the BEST you.
